New South Wales Winemakers
Australia is humming with talented winemakers. While regions such as the Barossa Valley and the Yarra Valley gain a lot of attention, New South Wales also offers unique growing conditions. Sydney Cove boasts the very first location of grape growing in Australia(*1). The Hunter Valley is one of the most well-known wine-growing regions in the state.
The Wine Region of Orange, NSW
Orange is located 255km west of Sydney in central NSW. This prestigious region is cool and surrounded by rich volcanic soil from Mount Canabolas(*2,3). The elevation of the region is what drives fresher temperatures and breezes. In addition to grapes, the region is well known for cheese, fungi, and fruits such as apples(*2).
See Saw Wines not only nurture but also grow and harvest their own organic fruits. Their sustainable focus is a key driver in how the entire 170-hectare estate is run(*4). Sustainable and organic viticulture combine with minimal wine-making intervention shows respect for each fruit’s individual characteristics. The result? Beautifully balanced wines that are full of flavour and character.
Even the judges agree on the quality and balance of See Saw Wines. In 2020, the vineyard took out trophies for best organic wine and the top spot, gold for their Sauvignon Blanc(*5).
