2022 Even Keel Chardonnay Tumbarumba – Courabyra Vineyard located in Tumbarumba Canberra, is on western facing slopes, with an altitude of 730 metres, decomposed granite soils and abundant rainfall. Large diurnal fluctuations in temperature make it ideal for growing world class chardonnay. The vineyard was established in 1993 of the 8.1 hectares only 3.5 hectares were planted to Chardonnay in 1996.
Lifted and perfumed with flinty minerals, white stone fruit, Meyer lemon, white florals and nectar. The palate is refreshing with white peaches and citrus, good mid palate texture and a long driving energetic finish. A very enjoyable drink now but with a long life ahead of it.
