2022 Dr Mayer Remstal Riesling Germany – Timo Mayer is a small farm producing hand crafted, single vineyard wines. They believe that wines are made in the vineyard and therefore try to interfere as little as possible in the natural winemaking process. All of their wines are unfined and unfiltered to show the true expression of the land. Their aim is to make wines with a point of difference and to really showcase region and varietal to their best ability.
Really enjoyable drink here. A wine full of texture, acidity and minerality. Intensity of citrus and stonefruits. Balanced by stony minerality and fine acid tension. This wine screams for food, but is just as enjoyable sitting in the sun on the back deck.
