2018 Giaconda Nebbiolo Beechworth – Giaconda are one of Australia’s power house wineries producing some of the very best wines to come not only out of Beechworth but Australia as a whole. Deep crimson in colour offering a reflection of the great vintage; an immediate impact of black cherries and dried herbs, augmented by a compote of tangerine zest, forest floor litter and a gentle zephyr of menthol which combines with an intoxicating potpourri of dark cherries, rose petal and tar. The palate packs a powerful punch with deeply flavoured black fruits wrapped in finely-tuned tannins that flow effortlessly to create a long and savoury wine that is both rich and silky on the finish.
