2023 Skipjack Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough – A pure and typical Marlborough style Sauvignon Blanc with grapes sourced from selected vineyard sites in the Wairau Valley, Skipjack convinces with characterful, uplifting flavours and fruitiness as well as great acidity.
The 2023 growing season included the driest summer on record which allowed for perfect ripening conditions. Cooler nights during the late part of the season retained the regions trademark aromatics and acidity. In the winery, the fruit was gently pressed and the juice fermented at cool temperatures to capture the expressive fruit flavours from the vineyards.
Lifted gooseberry, citrus and herbal aromas. Palate is lively with citrus, passionfruit and grassy notes, a zesty acidity and a long mouth-watering finish.
