2022 Vanguardist Grenache Mourvedre Rose McLaren Vale – The Vanguardist range represents the epitome of what they are about. The fruit source is the same as the dry red versions. Rende Grenache (66%) and Yangarra Mourvèdre (34%) both organic and Bio-dynamic certified, in Blewitt Springs. 2022 was the second mild vintage in succession. Slightly cooler and with more rainfall during the season, harvest was a couple of weeks later than the previous year.
Such a seriously good wine here. Complex, fun and down right delicious. Stacks of red fruits, plenty of texture, a nice balance of zesty goodness and creaminess. Great depth and exceptional length. Drink now, drink later, just drink.
