2023 Shut The Gate For Love Watervale Riesling Clare Valley – Shut The Gate is a small wine producer that’s passionate about single site and best of region grape varieties. While they have lots of different wine batches they’re all tiny quantities and thy don’t put their label on a bottle if it doesn’t make the cut. They call the Clare Valley home and spend the majority of their life there but they also have a foot in the Snowy Mountains NSW chasing cool climate grapes as well, the best of both worlds really.
2023 vintage in Clare Valley will be long remembered for ideal ripening conditions resulting stunning quality in both whites and reds. This Watervale Riesling is a pristine example. All delicate lemon, lime and citrus. A classic Clare Valley Riesling from a great vintage.
