2020 J. Moreau & Fils Chablis 1ER Cru Mont De Milieu France – Since 1814, J. Moreau & Fils has been challenging the terroir of Chablis to bring out an exceptional expression of the Chardonnay grape; the only varietal grown there.
A deep knowledge of the soils and subsoils in Chablis allows J.MOREAU & Fils to identify the shade and character in each terroir, to reveal all its richness and complexity with each new vintage. Faithful to the house origins, value and culture, the Gloire (Glory) range gathers the emblematic wines that made J.MOREAU & Fils the most famous signature of Chablis all over the world.
Pale gold in colour with green hues. Aromatically, the Premier Cru is highly complex. Sometimes closed when it’s young, it develops in a few years (between 2-3 years) floral and mineral aromas depending on the vintage. The palate shows complex flavours of white flowers, peach and hazelnut balanced with mineral salinity that is the hallmark of great Chablis.
It can be enjoyed young (2-3 years old) with veal or poultry in sauce, crustaceans and shellfish, grilled fish or fresh cheese.
