2019 Prunotto Barolo Italy – Prunotto is located in Alba, in the heart of The Langhe, halfway between Barbaresco and Barolo, on the southeast side of the Tanaro River on a gentle hillside surrounded by vineyards stretching throughout The Langhe and Roero. A captivating panorama with its beautiful rolling hillsides and small sloping valleys wrapped with rows of vines. A territory that is both fascinating and inviting not only for its natural landscape, distinctive colors and the peace and quiet that prevails but also for its historical heritage and cultural traditions that are part of its unique character.
A traditional Barolo, one of Prunotto’s historic labels, whose first vintage was produced in 1905 from the best grapes of the vineyards in the heart of the Barolo appellation. Aging takes place in large oak barrels of various sizes, further enhancing the extraordinary typicity of Nebbiolo in this region.
Prunotto’s Barolo is garnet red in color. The nose is complex and generous with pleasing aromas of rose petals, red fruit and spicy notes. The palate is full, well-balanced with velvety tannins.
