2018 Clandestine Vineyards Grenache McLaren Vale – Clandestine hold the key to locked away secrets. With fruit sourced from some of the most exceptional, yet difficult to access sites in South and Western Australia, their wines are the key to experience the spoils of these elusive vineyards.
The fruit for this Grenache is sourced from the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale in South Australia. These old vines were planted in 1923 and are south facing.
Hand-picked, basket pressed with 10% whole bunch, racked into large old French oak hogs heads and 10% of the original pressings blended prior to bottling.
Medium bodied, lifted fragrant bouquet of mixed cherry fruit, compote palate and fine structure and balance. Such an easy drinking wine!
