2016 Gilbert Blanc de Blancs Orange – Gilbert Family Wines began its journey in 2004 by fifth generation winemaker Simon Gilbert. Simon has always had a strong desire to do things his own way and create a label true to himself, at the same time paying tribute to his heritage.

This award winning Blanc de Blancs is a hand picked gem showcasing how wonderful this style of bubbles can be. 100% Chardonnay, fermentation in stainless and neutral French oak, secondary fermentation by traditional method with a HUGE 68 months on yeast lees.

You can see how much work and love has gone into this magnificent wine as soon as the bottle is opened. Bone dry, oyster shell, almonds, lemond rind, minerality and complex lees richness. Length is superb which leaves you wanting another glass.
