2019 Glaetzer-Dixon Avance Pinot Noir Tasmania – Winemaker Nick Glaetzer has transformed an old ice factory on the edge of Hobart’s CBD into Tasmania’s first urban winery and tasting room. A fifth generation vigneron hailing from the Barossa Valley, Nick moved to Tasmania in 2005. With Glaetzer-Dixon he has won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy and Gourmet Traveller’s Young Winemaker of the Year award.
Bright cherry and raspberry aromas continue to a full flavoured palate of fresh mixed red berries, subtle toasty oak and smokey notes. Silky tannins and well balanced acid lengthens the delicious finish. Smooth, elegant and oh so delightful!
An excellent example of what Tasmanian Pinot Noirs are all about.
