Seppeltsfield Para Rare Tawny Barossa Valley

From: $75.00

Seppeltsfield Para Rare Tawny Barossa Valley – With a proud and priceless legacy dating back to 1851, Seppeltsfield is Australia’s most iconic wine estate. Seppeltsfield was established in the Barossa Valley by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt just 15 years after the European settlement of South Australia. One of the largest and most modern wineries in the world of its time, Seppeltsfield went on to thrive as an artisan community throughout the early 1900’s. Steeped in rich Barossan heritage, the estate is considered a true national treasure which helped shape the history of the Australian wine industry.

The Para Rare Tawny draws upon a selection of Seppeltsfield’s finest aged Tawny components, reaching a minimum average age of 15 years in barrel. A great example of the sheer finesse that can be achieved in blended Tawnies from Seppeltsfield.

The Para Rare Tawny style is characterised by two main elements – selected aged material identified for its increased richness and complexity, which is then balanced by the careful blending addition of Rich Rare Apera (Oloroso Sherry). The result is a sophisticated, alluring Tawny with a hallmark length of palate.

Complex and evolving. Rich and aged characters of old leather and spicy dark fruit cake are complemented by lifted citrus aromatics – the result of a careful blending addition of Rich Rare Apera.

Showcases the richness, sophistication and depth of the aged Tawny components. Increased baume delivered by age and maturation is balanced by the Rich Rare Apera, which brings with it citrus peel, aldehyde and rancio.
