2023 Shut The Gate Fur Elise Grenache Rose Clare Valley – Shut The Gate is a small wine producer that’s passionate about single site and best of region grape varieties. While they have lots of different wine batches they’re all tiny quantities and thy don’t put their label on a bottle if it doesn’t make the cut. They call the Clare Valley home and spend the majority of their life there but they also have a foot in the Snowy Mountains NSW chasing cool climate grapes as well, the best of both worlds really.
Clare Valley Grenache is the perfect variety for a Rose. It delivers pretty lifted fruit sweet flavours without the need for cloying residual sugar. Delicious Turkish Delight, fresh strawberries, delicate rose water held in check with a crisp line of bright acidity and long length of flavour.
A great example of modern elegant dry rose. Serve with a tropical sunset!
