2021 Bleasdale The Iron Duke Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek – Bleasdale is rich in history and producing some of Australia’s most exciting, consistently impressive premium wines. Whether a Bleasdale wine is a Sparkling Shiraz, a single vineyard Malbec or the Frank Potts Cabernet, it conveys a story in the glass that substantiates its history, diversity and increasingly, its pedigree.
Frank Potts led the local army equipped with his trusty muzzle-loader ‘The Iron Duke’, named for the Duke of Wellington. This wine celebrates Frank’s community leadership.
Produced in limited quantities, this wine shows distinct varietal character and purity. Medium bodied with layers of floral and fruit flavour, supported by complexity from maturation in French oak with firm lingering tannins.
This wine has been naturally fined and racked before bottling without filtration, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting two hours prior to drinking is recommended. Drinking well now until 2050.
