2021 Wild Duck Creek Estate Rose Heathcote – The very first Rosé ever produced at Wild Duck Creek Estate, and boy are they excited to release it. Made using Grenache, Cinsault and Mataro grown at Col and Bernie Neate’s vineyard at Toolleen. These vines were planted as a long-term project between grower and winery. Exciting things to come!
A lovely Provence rosé style copper with a pinkish hue. The glass is filled with aromas of rose petal, freshly picked strawberries and spring herbs. The palate is refined and textural, with mouth-filling flavours of delicate red fruits and fresh herbs. This, coupled with indulgent natural acidity create a Rosé of intense pleasure.
Fermented in French oak puncheons and hogsheads, 10% of which were new.
