2021 Seppeltsfield Nero d’Avola Barossa Valley

From: $24.00

2021 Seppeltsfield Nero d’Avola Barossa Valley – The Seppeltsfield ‘Village’ range celebrates the revitalisation of the Seppeltsfield estate as a vibrant community of artisans – a modern day village – and is the foundation of their portfolio. The wine expressions within include classic Barossa varieties, to more emerging and exotic offerings. Their winemakers place particular specialisation in the reimagining of traditional ‘fortified’ red varieties – many central to the Barossa’s early emergence as grape growing region – now crafted into bright, modern wines of purity and elegance.

The wine varietal’s ancestral home is the Italian island of Sicily, where it thrives in a hot, arid climate. Its potential in Australia is also recognised for its ability to maintain acidity in warm climates, over the course of ripening.  A variety known for its suitability in arid climates, this wine is medium-bodied with lively primary fruit and a typical savoury tannin drive.

The Seppeltsfield Barossa Nero d’Avola wine is crafted in a ‘joven’ style – a red wine released young and without any oak maturation. The palate has blackberry and plummy richness with complex savoury notes of caper berry and the crunchiness of pomegranate acidity on a backdrop of supple fine grain tannin.

Ready for immediate enjoyment. Trying matching with wood oven pizza, rustic calzone or pasta Napolitana.
