2020 Bass Phillip Estate Pinot Noir Gippsland – The Estate Pinot Noir is one of Australia’s most popular wines, from Bass Phillip’s estate vineyards near Leongatha, South Gippsland, Victoria. Bass Phillip uses close planting, low cropping and natural winemaking. They respect the forces of nature: driven by the moon, the planets and the Earth.
Beautifully expressive red and dark berry fruits with a brambly undergrowth and complexing black tea notes. A very pure expression of Pinot Noir. The palate is just perfection…sweet, lush, sweet berry. Lovely fine tannins holding it all together and flavours echoing the nose that crescendo to the finish.
It can be cellared for many years and will be enhanced with extra time spent in bottle.
