2019 Sami-Odi Hoffmann Dallwitz Syrah Barossa Valley

From: $99.00

2019 Sami-Odi Hoffmann Dallwitz Syrah Barossa Valley – The Hoffmann Dallwitz typifies the sunkissed 2019 growing season, where parched and sweltry conditions resulted in exceedingly low yields. It’s a decadent and brooding rendition of the Hoffmann’s garnet soils and whilst pleasurable now, it pleads for some restful cellaring. Fraser prescribes a bottle each winter until stocks are exhausted. .

A composition of Fraser’s most pertinent and charismatic casks from the alluring 2019 growing season.

Laced together from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families vineyard; planted on their own roots in 1927 and the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 with a thimble from the contiguous Eric’s Corner planted in 1996. These 19 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2020 after enduring their 81 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling. Yields ranged between 21 & 27 hectolitres per hectare.

Will notably benefit from decanting and once opened will continue to unfold and develop complexities for many days if kept in cool conditions.
