2018 Mount Pleasant 1965 Vines Rosehill Vineyard Shiraz Hunter Valley – Three small parcels of Shiraz were planted on the Rosehill vineyard in 1965. With a slightly different aspect to those planted by Maurice O’Shea in 1946, these select plantings provide a rich, intense Shiraz with the elegant floral aromas characteristic of the Rosehill Vineyard.
A beautifully balanced nose of violets and ripe red berries with subtle hints of toast and spice. Intense and structural. Ripe forest fruits meet refined tannin and combine for a sumptuous Shriaz with incredible length and poise. Match with braised beef short rib.
Drinking well now and over the next 20 years.
