2021 Glaetzer-Dixon Mon Pere Shiraz Tasmania – Winemaker Nick Glaetzer has transformed an old ice factory on the edge of Hobart’s CBD into Tasmania’s first urban winery and tasting room. A fifth generation vigneron hailing from the Barossa Valley, Nick moved to Tasmania in 2005. With Glaetzer-Dixon he has won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy and Gourmet Traveller’s Young Winemaker of the Year award.
Elegant red berry, cassis and white pepper aromas mix with integrated raspberry, spice and smoked lardon flavours. Savoury velvet tannins boost the length.
