2020 Chateau Beausejour Fronsac Bordeaux France

From: $22.00

2020 Chateau Beausejour Fronsac Bordeaux France – The Fronsac appellation is located in the triangle formed by the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers. On the top of a hill surrounded by steep limestone slopes, the town of Fronsac is the site of a former Gaulish camp and a fortress built by Charlemagne. He took a strong interest in winegrowing here, and it is said that he was responsible for developing the use of oak barrels with iron hoops to transport the wine. Château Beauséjour’s vineyards were first planted around 1870. It has been in the same family for five generations.

The grapes are hand-picked and then carefully sorted on a table. Vatting for about twenty days, in temperature-controlled vats. Final blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.

Château Beauséjour presents a beautiful flamboyant dark garnet color. A warm, attractive, bouquet with blackberry and spice aromas. Very round on the palate, with fine tannins. A well-balanced and rounded wine with a fresh finish. Very easy drinking.
